Summer is here at last and the Solaris family will be reunited once again in the wonderful waters of Porto Rotondo.
From 24th to 27th June, almost 50 Solaris sailing boats, from the small 36OD to the majestic 80RS, will meet for the seventh edition of the Solaris Cup, the worldly sports event that opens the season of the Yacht Club Porto Rotondo. The owners of the Solaris yachts, the performance cruisers designed and built for sailors, will compete in friendly and stiff challenges in the emerald waters, sailing through the pink granites of the islands of Mortorio, Mortoriotto, Soffi and Monaci’s island. With four Solaris 42, eight Solaris 44, ten Solaris 50, eight Solaris 55, two Solaris 58 and four Solaris 64 RS, the challenges in real time “boat-to-boat” will be particularly exciting.
Besides the Solaris Cup, two days – the Solaris Days – will be dedicated to the visits on board. The Solaris 44, 47, 50, 55, the brand-new 60, launched in Spring 2021, and the Solaris 64 RS, the Solaris 68 RS and the Solaris 80 RS will be on display.
All the spotlight are on the brand-new Solaris 60, an innovative mini-maxi that contains all the qualities typical of the yard, starting with the exclusive building technique that distinguish the boats since 1974. The new Solaris 60, with her waterlines and the exterior layout, designed by Javier Soto Acebal in collaboration with the Studio Roséo (interior layout), is 18,31 m long and 5,28 m wide. The standard draft is 3,20 m, the biggest expansion is 3,50 m and the smallest is 2,50 m, thanks to the optional lifting keel. Capable of combining comfort and performances, the Solaris 60 offers an interior layout featured by two double aft cabins with single or double beds and the owner’s cabin, forward, with central or outboard bed.
Almost 500 sailors coming from Austria, Belgium, Chile, France, Germany, Gibraltar, UK, Italy, Malta and Switzerland, joined by several “aspiring” new owners, will enliven the quays of the elegant Yacht Club of the Smeralda Coast, giving life to a single-brand event like no other in the panorama of the high-performance sailing yachts builders.
The kermesse, that has always given to the participants very exciting experiences, is characterized by the passion for sailing and for the sea, the two real protagonists of these days. In addition, the magical setting of the Smeralda Coast will make the event even more suggestive.
